Hurricane Ida 3-year anniversary: LASP continues to help survivors in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties
(Sept. 2024)
Three years after Hurricane Ida swept through Pennsylvania, Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP) continues to help low-income survivors in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties with legal problems caused by the Sept. 1, 2021 storm.
LASP’s work on Hurricane Ida is funded through a disster legal services grant from Legal Services Corporation (LSC). LASP services are free to people in the four counties who meet income guidelines.
All four counties in LASP’s service area were part of the federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Ida in PA. The declaration in September 2021 included Bedford, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia and York counties.
